Description

New Lamb Ametek 116765-18 motor is a 3-stage, 5.7 inch, 120 volt.

In the continuous efforts to improve Ametek’s vacuum motors, they worked with one of their bearing suppliers on a new bearing for wet applications. The improved bearing design, used on this motor, increased the life of the motor on the abusive “suds” test where the fan systems are subjected to a caustic soapy mist. Positive results allowed Ametek to put this new bearing to use on the popular 116765 motor. It has an extra PTFE seal to prevent water from finding its way into the bearing while the motor is not moving.

Installation note:

Over-tightening of the mounting screws may cause the fan casing to push into the fan blades and may damage the fans.  This situation is not covered under the Motor Warranty Program and will not be approved if submitted.  If motor is turned in under warranty and is found to have the type of damage explained above, the warranty will be denied.  When mounting your new motor, in most cases a touch BEYOND “finger tight” is all that is required to mount and seat the motor sufficiently.
