YOU MUST IDENTIFY YOUR INLET VALVE TYPE BY VIEWING THE IMAGES BELOW. ONCE IDENTIFIED, SELECT EITHER DIRECT CONNECT OR PIGTAIL/CORDED BASED ON YOUR SYSTEM.
Inlet Valve Compatibility Guide:
- If you have the NuTone Square Standard Inlet Valve (image below), this hose is NOT compatible. Please see our replacement hose: HSE735.
- If you have a VacuFlo Inlet Valve (image below), this hose WILL NOT work unless you convert your valves to industry‑standard style. For conversion, see our kit: NST7357. If you do not convert, you must purchase a VacuFlo‑specific hose from a VacuFlo dealer.
- If you have the Hayden SuperValve or Canplas ElectraValve (images below), this hose IS COMPATIBLE. These valves provide both 24‑volt low‑voltage control and a built‑in 120‑volt connection for electric powerheads. Select the Direct Connect option.
- If you have VacuValve or Round Door Inlet Valves (image below), these are Low Voltage Only valves. They control suction but do not supply 120‑volt power for electric nozzles. Select the Pigtail option if you plan to use a powered carpet nozzle.
- NOTE: Some older Kenmore/Sears inlet valves measure 1.25″ inside diameter (image below), which is smaller than the industry‑standard 1.5″. If your inlet valves are 1.25″, THIS HOSE WILL NOT WORK. You will need our hose: HSE228 and select the 1.25″ option.
