Its double layer filter system consists of a high quality bag and a foam disc filter. The filter itself is permanent and should last the lifetime of the unit. The bags and the filters can be purchased separately and are both available at low cost. You need to replace the bag in between 1 and 3 times a year depending on the surface it has to clean.
