Hoses for Dual Voltage and Electric Valves

Filter By Brand:

The Inlet Valves pictured below are industry standard inlet valves that all have 24 volt low voltage connection points for switching the suction portion of the system off and on.

The top two valves shown are Dual Voltage Inlet Valves. These types of inlet valves supply the hose with the 24 volt Low Voltage connections for controlling the suction AND a 120 volt connection to operate a powered nozzle for vacuuming carpet (Note the small 2 pin connection above the inlet hole). For this type of inlet valve, you will need to choose the “Direct Connect” option.  If your Inlet Valve does not have the 2 small pin connection above the inlet hole, you will need to order “Pigtail / Corded Style”.

The bottom three valves shown are Low Voltage Only Inlet Valves. These types of inlet valves supply the hose with the 24 volt Low Voltage connections for controlling the suction ONLY. These types of inlet valves DO NOT have a 120v connection built in. If you are looking to operate a powered nozzle for cleaning carpeted floors, you will need to choose the “Pigtail” option.

NOTE: Some older Kenmore/Sears Inlet Valves opening measured 1.25” ID (see pic below) compared to the industry standard 1.5” opening. While these hoses will still work on the 1.25” valves with the adapter, the user loses the functionality of switching the suction off and on. In this type of hose, the suction will activate when the hose is inserted in the inlet and stop when the hose is removed.

If you have either of the inlet valves shown below (or anything that does not look like the pictures above), in many cases, you will have to go back to the manufacturers version of the hose you are trying to replace or retro-fit the inlet valve to accommodate industry standard hoses.

The inlet valve to the left is a VacuFlo Inlet Valve. These valves have a proprietary connection for the low voltage and will not accept any industry standard hose. Therefore, you will have to go back to VacuFlo or a VacuFlo dealer to purchase these hoses or use our conversion kit found HERE to convert your VacuFlo Valves to industry standard valves. When converted, the user can now utilize 99% of the items available in the market that are made for use with central vacuums.

The inlet valve to the right is a Nutone Standard Inlet Valve. Although this valve will accept most industry standard style hoses, the activation pins INSIDE the hose hole are located in a different spot than the standard inlet valves and this prevent the hose from turning the suction off and on from the handle of the hose. Therefore you will have to purchase a Genuine Nutone Hose which you can find listed HERE.
